Allison Tannehill may not be an actual superhero, but she’s getting closer every day. The creators of the Rainbow Bracelet Project, Allison and Andrea Free, work every day to raise money for LGBT advocacy groups. The project also aims to stimulate dialogue about issues faced by the LGBT community at large.
After growing up feeling powerless and in denial about her own sexual orientation, Allison Tannehill is empowering others to break free of those social injustices and be proud of who they really are. She and Andrea Free both grew up in small towns, and both know what it’s like to feel like an outcast, a “weirdo.”
“We both know how important it is to feel accepted and loved simply for being yourself,” Allison writes on the RBP website.
