Religion is usually a symbol of hope, happiness and light.  It often inspires acts of love and kindness.  However, there are instances in which it has the opposite effect.

When people refuse to change and cling to outdated notions about men and women, it turns ugly.  Ultra-Orthodox, ultra-conservatives and evangelicals exist across the globe.  While they speak about love and equality, they are holding women back from true equality.

There is a group in Israel who continues to fight for their right to pray at the Western Wall in Jerusalem.  They have filed lawsuits and protested. They will never give up until men and women are afforded the same rights as equals.
